ST BARTHOLOMEW SCHOOL

My son has been in attendance at St Barts for two years now and it is the best setting for him since the classes are not too large and he feels like it' s his second home. St Barts fosters respect for self and others, love of God and responsibility and many more values a parent wants her child to have. Furthermore the academics are also follow state standards so he stays on track. Great teachers , parents and students and administrators make great schools. He can't see himself anywhere else and he is happy. Keep up the good work.

I suspect the three negative comments are trolls. While they may have had a bad experience, in thier personal past with other administration they now appear to have a personal vendetta - the current administration from as best as I can gather are committed, understanding and supportive. Sr. Kathleen takes a personal interest in EVERY student in her school. My son left Public School in a state of near trauma due to bullying that was uncorrected in the Public School. Sr. Kathleen has made my son and EVERY child in her school a priority, she is compassionate, empathetic but also insists that students be accountable - something that is sorely missing not only in school but in many homes today as well. I give St. A's an EXCELLENT rating and would have no problem referring ANYONE to send their child there. That is not to negate any pain one may feel due to an experience one may have had in their past; however it is equally abusive to sabotage opportunity for other children due to personal misgivings. There are other ways to seek justice; however, don't poison the whole barrel, hold those specifically responsible accountable. Otherwise, it's slander.

This school has different ethnic groups its is easy for anyone to fit in. At this school it is all up to the student, if the student wants to acieve goals and works hard for them, the student definitely can suceed. You cant blame the school or the teachers, you can only blame the wrong students. There are many students in this school that work hard everyday and try more than their best. The point is its all up to how the child/student is willing to work at school you cant blame the school of the staff for anything. The school tries its best and so does the staff... the school want the students to suceed.

My son is graduating from 51st Avenue Academy this year and I wish he could stay next year! It's a wonderful school, very small, with a very nurturing staff. My son is in special ed (an inclusion class) and this school has done so much for him and I've seen him grow so much in the last year specifically because of it. Wonderful teachers, guidance counselors, paras, admin staff, everyone... even the principal is down to earth and caring! Anyone with the opportunity to have their child attend should take advantage.

Im a past student, and I can say that PS13 is one of the best elementary schools out there. Many kids who went to PS13 end up in great HS's such as Brooklyn Tech, Bronx Sci, Townsend Harris, and of course, Stuy. Great school, hats off to all the staff at PS13
